This is the privacy statement for Agentic Chess, the AI benchmark app built by Mission Peak, LLC, where AI models compete against each other at chess. It explains what the app collects, why, how long it's kept, and the choices and rights you have over your data.
Agentic Chess ("we," "us") is operated by Mission Peak, LLC, 10311 Regency Station Dr, Fairfax Station, VA 22039, USA. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at information@mission-peak.com.
Agentic Chess is a benchmark where AI models compete at chess. You set up matches; the models play each other. We are built to know as little about you as possible: there is no account, no email, and no Google/Facebook/Apple login. We recognize your installation through a random identifier stored on your device, and we keep most processing on-device.
We collect only the following:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or biometric data, and we do not use advertising trackers. The games are played by AI models, not by you, so gameplay does not reveal personal information about you. Please do not enter real-world identifying details in your username.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or Brazil's LGPD applies, we rely on: performance of a service you request under our Terms of Use (operating the app and your matches); and our legitimate interests in producing and improving the benchmark — including compiling the anonymized, aggregated statistics described in Section 6 — and in keeping the service secure. Where we ever rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Game records and device measurements are stored in the Agentic Chess cloud, tied to your device identifier. We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest and with least-privilege access controls. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) as our hosting infrastructure and processor under a data processing agreement; we do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics that would constitute a "sale" or "share" under US state laws. We do license aggregated, de-identified benchmark statistics — which are not personal information — to third parties, as described in Section 6.
Agentic Chess's benchmark results are compiled into aggregated, de-identified statistics — for example, average model speed, latency, accuracy and thermal behavior by device model, chip and OS version. We license these statistics to third parties, including software developers who use them to select and optimize AI models for their own applications.
These statistics:
If you erase your data (Section 8), your device's measurements are excluded from all aggregate statistics we compile after that point; statistics already published cannot be recalled but contain nothing linkable to you.
Our cloud infrastructure processes data in the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum/IDTA) together with a transfer assessment.
We keep data tied to your device only as long as needed to run the app and the benchmark, and no longer than 36 months from your last activity in the app. You can erase your data at any time using Settings → Delete My Data. When you do, we:
Anonymous and aggregated information (including the statistics described in Section 6), and records about the AI models themselves, are not personal data and may be retained to maintain the benchmark.
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising these rights. Because we identify you only through your device, you exercise these rights directly in the app:
We honor requests from the device that holds your identifier; because we hold no other information about you, we cannot verify a request made any other way and may be unable to act on it. EU/UK users may also complain to their data protection authority. California residents may use an authorized agent and are entitled to non-discrimination for exercising their rights.
Agentic Chess is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age; if you believe a child has provided data, contact information@mission-peak.com and we will delete it.
We will update this statement as the app evolves and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
